Kyoto International Manga Museum - a living work

These two photos demonstrate how the manga museum in Kyoto is probably one of the most interactive museums I've seen.
Obviously the topic of the museum is Manga, so what better way than to have access to hundreds of thousands of volumes?
In this main exhibition room, you can read manga by year (more on this later) but these volumes need to stay in this room. There's a sign that says something like 'please don't read what is above seventh shelf. Gives you an idea of the size of the amazing collection.
The other picture shows some places to sit reading in the room - which is why this wall has no shelves.
