The Golden Pavilion

This is, of course, one of the most famous sites in Japan - and justly so!
The temple of Kinkakuji, better known as the Golden Pavilion, burned to the ground in the early fifties and was rebuilt in only seven years.
The story was the basis for Yukio Mishima's famous novel.
Yesterday, was pouring rain but today is just gorgeous as you can see.
