This is a Yuba lunch that the monks would have eaten. It's an important source of protein in a vegetarian diet produced from bean curd. I tried it because I thought I should seeing that I was here at a Buddhist site (culture and all that stuff), although it didn't look at all enticing to me. It looked all steamed, bland and watery.
I was pleasantly surprised in how tasty and interesting it was. Shows you have to try everything at least once, but I'd certainly eat this again.
