I went to check out a highly recommended bookshop (Jukundu) which is actually about three storeys of a complete department store.
on the first floor (there is no 'ground floor' here - like the US) I saw a Mariage shop.
It was the whole set up, so I asked for my Russian Breakfast tea, and so I was trying to translate it when i found it.
The chap who helped me was quite young, totally old school, and so polite. he was very chatty, and turned the shopping into something special. I bought enough to last me quite a few months if I just drink it sparingly.
I haven't had any for over 8 years as I could only get it from Paris - I can't get it in Australia.
Mariage has a shop in Kyoto and in Tokyo too. I'm finding this country full of special surprises
No doubts about it - Japan is one class act! I can't tell you how happy I am!
