Visiting temples and castles in Japan almost always means lots of walking and lots of steps, and the Osaka Castle is no exception to this.
You climb the stairs to the entrance to the castle, and then you take a lift to the 5th floor and then walk up another three flights of steps - am I making you just tired talking about it?
The castle sits in the beautiful Nishinomara Garden, which is absolutely stunning with the cherry blossoms at the moment.
