Meet Flora from Barra

Flora is a very dear friend, originally from the Isle of Barra, but now a long standing resident of Glasgow.

I always visit Flora (who is now 83..) To catch up on the news, which this year has proved very eventful and sad for many.

We always go to mass together when I'm in Glasgow and have spend many lovely hours over cups of tea and oatcakes.

Flora's a wonderful lady. She had to leave Barra when she was about 8 to go the mainland for treatment for tuberculosis and spent many years away from home.

She worked for many years as a clerk in the Dental Hospital here and is incredibly kind. It's always a pleasure to see her again.
