I heard about this in a Law Report podcast (ABC Radio). Apparently this sculpture has caused some major tensions in the community between the art group/gallery and the Aboriginal elders (who did not give permission for their Dreamtime spirits to be depicted).
It raises some complicated and fascinating questions about copyright, freedom of religion and (respect for) cultural differences.
I was hoping to see this during the tour, but missed out.. What were you doing at the bottom of a garden?!?
